Pirates of Silicon Valley DVD

hey, I was wondering where I could get information on when this movie will get released to DVD. I am pretty certain it hasn;t yet, as I have searched imdb and amazon. Are there any sites that list when certain movies will be released to dvd's, or if there are plans to do so? Thanks

Wasn't it a made for HBO movie? Do HBO movies usually get DVDs?

This is already out on DVD? Wow, that was fast. I guess Johnny Depp's career is in trouble, eh?

Misleading thread title. I enjoyed the movie, though, and wish it would come to DVD.

resinrats, it was a TNT Original, and those often come to DVD, but this one was only released on VHS.

I believe this was a TBS movie. I would love to get this on DVD. I'm almost positive they released it on VHS, so I don't see why they can't do the same with DVD.

There's a good chance that it will never be released on DVD. It got a rental only VHS release shortly after after airing, but that's it. It wasn't made for HBO, if it had been it would probably be on DVD or if not yet at least have a good chance of the future. I believe it was a TNT original, and they haven't been very supportive of the DVD format. They seem to be releasing their newer made for TV movies, but so far as I'm aware they haven't released any of their older titles. In other words, I wouldn't hold my breath.

I hope it comes out at some point. Not the best TV movie I've seen but very interesting if you're into the history of Apple and Microsoft.

its kinda ironic that a movie about the rise of technology wasn't put on dvd, ya think?

Yeah, I've been waiting for this one for quite awhile now. The closest I came were vcd's of the movie.

I remember that this movie was shown on TNT. Anthony Michael Hall was amazing as Bill Gates. I would buy it if a DVD gets released.

Just an FYI, a great complement to this movie is Bob Cringley's Triumph of the Nerds documentary. Sadly, also only available on VHS.

Another vote for the release of this film on DVD. Saw it when it originally aired and really enjoyed it.

Some of the scenes involving Steve Job's personal life got a bit repetitive and ponderous but I liked the performances and the story of MS and Apple's early beginnings.

You'd think a film starring two recognizable actors, one from The Dead Zone series and the other from ER, would get a release fairly quickly.

count me in as someone who would buy this as soon as it's released. I have not seen this in the 4 years since it aired on TNT and went to buy it today figured it may be on dvd but nope. I am anxious to see this again. so hopefully it will be released to DVD.

I'm in for a DVD release of this, I actually came to start a thread on it just now (was going to search first but I look down and wow there's a thread about it on the first page) I watched this movie about 10 times the couple months it was on TNT. They accidently played it at 1am on a sunday night like two weeks before it was supposed to be on, I thought that was cool cause I got to see it ahead of time.

They didn't "accidently" play it. They played it so the film could be nominated for Emmys since when the film was supposed to air, the film would've been shown after the Emmys deadline.
